Discover the world's largest museum dedicated to shells! Located in Cupra Marittima, the Piceno Malacological Museum hosts an extraordinary collection of over 12 million specimens, with about one million shells on display. A true center for malacological studies, the museum also offers educational rooms, laboratories, a specialized library, and multimedia rooms for a complete and engaging experience.
What We’ll Do:
During the visit, we’ll explore the main thematic sections of the museum, including:
- Mother of pearl and malacopalentology
- Themed ceramic tiles
- Collections of corals and madrepores
- Sharks and ethnology: masks and objects from around the world
- Mother-of-pearl fans: a collection ranging from the 1700s to the present

Last entry: one hour before closing.
