Acquaviva Picena
What makes Acquaviva Picena a peculiar town is doubtless its fortress, an interesting majestic fourteenth-century hill fort, worthy of many other beautiful ones in Italy. We can also admire the ruins of the walls of the castle walls, with its typical Gothic door, dating back to the X century, the churches of San Rocco (XIII century), San Niccolò (XVI century), San Francesco. To feel completely lost in the town atmosphere, we suggest you a snack with wine tasting in the town wine cellar. From this location a typical train leaves to drive you across the city for a visit. It is also possible to rent a mountain-bike for lively tours following “the way of the Rosso Piceno Superiore wine”: leaving from Offida, this route gets through Acquaviva and arrives in San Benedetto del Tronto.
