Cossignano
The town of Cossignano lies on the top of a hill and it is surrounded by a medieval city wall, where nowadays still stands the big tower of San Giorgio (XIV century) with its Gothic door. In the parish church of Santa Maria Assunta several eighteenth-century paintings and a reliquary containing bones of many Saints are miraculously preserved. Moreover, in the town hall it possible to admire a huge painting representing San Giorgio standing between Sant'Antonio from Padua and the Abbot Sant'Antonio, and a red shirt, once belonged to a man of the Thousand; besides, in its tower there is a bronze tubular bell, dating back to 1303.
