Montegallo
The small town Montegallo lies at the foot of the Vettore mountain; in fact, the village is point of departure for many day-trips to the Monti Sibillini, especially on the way to the Vettore mountain and the suggestive Pilato lake.In the old centre, the facade of the Branconi palace is very interesting, while in the town hamlets we can notice houses with stone doors and windows, dating back to the 1500. to be visited is certainly the parish churches of Abetito and Pistrino and the church of Santa Maria, in the hamlet of Santa Maria in Lapide, where there is also a ninth-century crypt that preserves a melted bronze bell.
